A little care goes a long way.
Put jewellery on last
Apply perfume, creams, make-up and hairspray before putting on jewellery, and allow them to dry first. Avoid direct contact with household cleaners, sanitiser and other chemicals.
Keep it dry
Remove jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming or using a hot tub. Take it off before exercise or activities that expose it to heavy perspiration. Unless a product specifically states otherwise, do not assume it is waterproof.
Clean gently
After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth. Do not soak jewellery or use harsh cleaners, toothpaste, abrasive polish or ultrasonic cleaning unless the product’s specific care instructions confirm suitability. Plated, enamelled and stone-set pieces can need extra care.
Store each piece separately
Keep jewellery in a dry place away from direct sunlight, humidity and heat. Use separate soft pouches or compartments to reduce scratching and tangling. Make sure pieces are dry before storing.
Protect the details
Avoid pulling, bending or forcing clasps and charm fittings. Check fastenings before wearing. Follow the stated sizing and compatibility guidance, and avoid overloading bracelets. Remove jewellery before sleeping or doing physical work.
Know your materials
Different metals and finishes wear differently. Plating can change with use and exposure, and some metals can tarnish. Refer to the individual product description and any care instructions supplied. Care advice does not remove your rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
